Jake “Kricket” Richter

My approach to music mixing is a steadfast dedication to enhancing the piece, song, EP, or album. My goal is to meticulously focus on conveying the emotion, vibe, and message of your art to listeners. I am committed to helping you connect with your listeners in a pure and impactful way. Your music is your message, and my role is to enhance that message ensuring it is clear, moving, and articulate.

Each artist is unique, with distinct visions for their music. I generally avoid using channel-strip presets or plugin mix templates for differing artists, because I believe each vision is independent and deserves an individual treatment.

I worked with Jake on my fifth album. He was easy and fun to work with. Aside from his expansive technical knowledge of sound and his amazing ear, he is professional, prompt, and detail oriented. He is determined to help you achieve the best sound and ultimately, the best project.

Jake is a professional through and through. He sees the potential in your track and brings it to fruition. I sent him a song to mix which was recorded with less than stellar equipment at home, and as such, I had pretty low expectations on how the final product would turn out.
